Welcome On Board!

Hello Parents!

We are very exited about our upcoming camp and the opportunity of "traveling" with your kids to China! It will be a true adventure. As the teachers/the tour guides, we'll make sure that safety is our priority. So please relax and let your kids go and explore the world (one step at a time ^_~)!

In this trip, the students will be exposed to Mandarin Chinese as part of the instructional language, at activities,  free play and meal time. They will participate in traditional Chinese games, doing Chinese crafts,  using Chinese brush to pain traditional water and ink painting, and even practicing Chinese character writing. We are starting each day by a morning circle at 9:30 am and closing by a debriefing circle ending at 2 pm. If the students arrive between 9 - 9:30, there are learning centers for them to explore freely.  The teachers will escort the students from and to the before-and-after care on time. To keep up with the pace of the schedule/activities, the student's regular attendance is highly appreciated!

Date to Remember:

On the last day of the camp, Friday, the 14th, we'll have a cooking project and parents (family members, too) are welcome to join in for the last 30 minutes of the day, for food tasting and a small performance by the students.

Other info:

- Please remember to bring a labeled water bottle for student to use throughout the day/week.

- Please wear comfortable clothes that are okay to get messy/stains. We'll have the brush and ink paining available daily.

- For any snacks that we brought from outside (nut-free, of course), we will leave them in a basket near the door for the first two days. Please check the snacks if you have any concern of what your child(ren) will eat and communicate with the teachers promptly.

Please feel free to leave comments, asking questions, and chat with us at drop-off and pick-up time! We are looking forwarding to seeing everyone on board tomorrow!

Cheers,

Teacher Yi  (车老师)
&  Teacher Meiyan (蔺老师)
